Feathers are one of the Resources in Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. These are used for crafting Arrows.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Feathers can be looted from hunted Birds or from nests that can be shot out of trees. Occasionally, especially in the Endurance game mode, they can also be found just lying on the ground or inside Resource Crates.
Sturdy vanes used for fletching when crafting arrows. Found in shootable bird nests that are located in trees and on elevated pieces of architecture.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The feathers return as crafting material in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. They can still be used to craft Silent Arrows, but also to repair Outfits.
Feathers can also be bought our sold from a Merchant for 30 Gold Pieces.
Found in birds' nests, trees and other elevated areas. Useful for crafting Silent Arrows and restoring outfits.
