Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
In Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, where these vents serve as triggers, they can be lit with Lara's Torch, the Flamethrower, or even by using Sun Balls. When lit they can heat up water - in order to get it to boil - or set fire to other gas emitting vents that come near.
'Let's keep an eye out for more of those gas vents...'
— Lara, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris in-game dialogue
Gas Vents are mostly part of Puzzles that need to be solved to continue the game, unlike Braziers which can be lit, too, but are mainly decorative and for hiding gems.
- Tomb of the Lamplighter
- Lara first finds these gas burners in the Tomb of the Lamplighter. The first gas vent Lara can light up, is connected to a Raising Block that extends from a pool of water which is heated up by lighting the gas. Further, the two Crocodiles residing in said pool are boiled.
- The second burner lowers two Retractable Spike Gates, raises another Raising Block and attracts one of Sobek's Warriors.
