The Tomb Raider Comics are published by Top Cow. After a long struggle for the rights, they finally got the deal. But before that the French publisher Glenat got the OK from Eidos France and they made a comic called Dark Eons, which was finally released in 1999. This comic was taken off the market.

In 1997 the first Witchblade/Tomb Raider crossover was released and with it started a long list of Tomb Raider comics.

In 1999 Lara Croft finally got her own first series, which ended in 2004 with Issue 50.

A second series was planned to launch with Tomb Raider Legend, but it hasn't happened yet. It was scheduled for 2007.

In 2013, alongside the story-rebooting instalment Tomb Raider (2013), the Tomb Raider: The Beginning comic book was released, launching a new series of comic books.
