One of the Rifles, WWII Submachine Gun

The Rifle is one of the four weapon types in TOMB RAIDER and a weapon type in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider (2013)

Lara first finds the rifle in the Mountain Base in the Cry for Help mission. The enemy carrying this weapon has to be killed by throwing a burning glass lantern into the gas-filled room.

Types of Rifles

Upgrades

The Rifle has 11 upgrades which can be applied throughout the game, after collecting Salvage and weapons pieces.

This upgrade is found in one of the later missions Into the Fire.

Ammunition

Rilfe Ammo

The ammunition for this weapon is found in brownish metal ammo caches.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Unlike in the predecessor and with all weapons in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara can collect a wide variety of Rifles and switch them at any of the Base Camps. She can, however, only use one rifle at a time.

Lara takes the first Rifle from an enemy Trinity soldier when she escapes from the Gulag.

All Rifles are a good choice to get rid of may enemies at a time, but they spend a lot of ammo, so one should be careful not to run out.

Rifles

Snub-nosed gun focused on rapid fire shooting.
A balanced, dependable rifle for any scenario.
Single shot Rifle that deals heavy damage.

The following Rifles were added later through various DLC:
