The Eye of Isis is one of the crystal meteorite artefacts in Tomb Raider III.
History
Creation
It was fashioned from a meteorite by Polynesians, that impacted upon Antarctica many years ago. The Eye was found by Stephen, a traveler who wrote the diary that Willard found and used in order to find the artefacts.
Discovery
Taken from Antarctica by one of the sailors from the HMS Beagle to London, it fell into the hands of one Sophia Leigh. She mounted the Eye of Isis on a golden staff and kept it as a close possession. She then went on to create a company that devoted itself to experimentation, some going horribly wrong. She was eventually pursued and killed by Lara on the rooftops of London.
Appearance
A crystalline piece of a meteorite of turquoise colour.
Powers
The individual powers of the Eye of Isis prevent the process of ageing. It also allows the bearer to accumulate energy from the environment and compress it into the form of bolts and beams.
Considering the elementalist beliefs of its creators, the Eye of Isis symbolizes the power of Earth. It allows Sophia to be immortal and command energy. When combined with the other crystal artefacts at the Meteorite Cavern, it will rapidly speed up the evolution of the bearer.
