Crawlspace
A Crawlspace is a gap in a wall that it too narrow for Lara to stand in but high enough for her to crawl into. Crawlspaces appear in the games since Tomb Raider III, where Lara first learned how to crawl. In Lara Croft: Relic Run crawlspaces turn to traps, as Lara has to slide through quickly and if her timing is off, she hits the wall.

Occurrence
Classic Games
In the Classic Games such a crawlspace has a certain height of 2 clicks.
- Crawlspace on the Floor
- Such a crawlspace can be found on ground level, (e.g. leading through underneath a tree root) in which case Lara can duck in front of the entrance and simply crawl in and out at the other end.
- Crawlspace Overhead
- Or such a crawlspace can be found in a wall above ground level, in which case Lara has to jump up ans hold on to the ledge or get there via a ladder. Lara can only enter such a crawlspace, if her feet are dangling and not on a ladder.
In Tomb Raider III and IV Lara has to turn around to exit an elevated crawlspace with her feet first. (One has to crawl backwards to the edge and press action to lower Lara onto the ground below, outside. In Tomb Raider Chronicles Lara has learned to exit these spaces with a roll. (One has to crawl to the edge, head first, and press Jump to exit.)

Lara Croft: Relic Run
In Lara Croft: Relic Run crawlspaces (a low opening in a wall, or a narrow gap under toppled columns or trees) become a trap. As Lara is constantly running, she has to slide through an upcoming crawlspace, or she may hit the obstacle.
