Community Events
There are two kinds of Community Events.
A Community Event can be a gathering or meet-up of fans, whether in real life, like the annual Tomb Raider Meeting of the German community, or virtually, like the Back to Basics themed Level Editor competition. These fan events are marked as such in the list below.
On the other hand, the promotional event organized by Square Enix (or others associated with the Tomb Raider franchise) - where besides the usual gaming press and other media some of the official fan site webmasters and selected fans (winners of contests) are invited - are also called Community Events. Square Enix has held several Community Events in recent years to promote their new games. In the list below these events will be marked as Organized by...

- 21-25 August 2018
- An Shadow of the Tomb Raider event was held during GamesCom with Morrigan Johnen; the shortened E3 version of the Reveal Demo was playable at the Square Enix booth; OFP members were able to watch the developers play a so far unknown part of the game

- A few select Tomb Raider fans and webmasters were invited to attend E3 in Los Angeles, California, to catch a first glimpse into new in-game footage of the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider.

- Shortly after E3 the German Tomb Raider Community and Press were shown the Tomb Raider (2013) Hunting Demo - playable for press only - in a very fitting setting, aboard the Cap San Diego in Hamburg. Karl Stewart was present for the event.

- TR Forge Advent Calendar
- Fan Event
- The team at TR Forge offers the community an advent calendar. Till the 24th of December they present you a daily surprise. Usually a Custom Level, wallpapers, recipes, puzzles and more. Learn more.
- Lara's Levelbase Advent Calendar
- Fan Event
- As every year the team at Lara's Levelbase bring you their advent calendar with Custom Levels, wallpapers, recipes and more. Learn more.
- Complex Simplicity 2010
- Fan Event
- The level building contest Complex Simplicity utilizes the Next Generation Level Editor. Like with the "Back to Basics" contest builders are given a basic wad and texture file with which they can then create their level. The contests motto is "Castle". Sign-up for Level Builders has begun March 1st 2009. The Contest ends in June, giving the builders 4 months time. Learn more.
