A Community Event is a small promotional event where - besides the usual gaming press and other media - some of the official fan site webmasters and selected fans (winners of contests) are invited. Square Enix has held several Community Events in recent years to promote their new games.
List of Tomb Raider Community Events
This list is not complete. It represents these events members of our community attended.
2012
- August, 15th (Germany): Community Event at GamesCom booth. Playable demo of Tomb Raider (2013) with Karl Stewart, Meagan Marie and most of the Hamburg office staff. Images
- June, 20th (Germany): Community Event aboard the Cap San Diego in Hamburg, Germany, organised by the Square Enix Hamburg office. Demo of Tomb Raider (2013) - playable for press only. Guests and interview opportunities: Karl Stewart. Images
- June, 5th-7th (USA): Community Ambassadors Event at the E3 in Los Angeles. Images Webmasters from around the globe were selected to attend the event. The hunting demo was showcased for them behind closed doors. Interview opportunities: Karl Stewart, Brian Horton.
2011
- October, 6th (Germany): Community Event in Square Enix's office in Hamburg, part of the Community Tour 2011 celebrating 15 years of Tomb Raider. First look at the new Tomb Raider game, playable demo of the Scavenger Den level. Guests: Meagan Marie. Images, Official Tomb Raider Blog on tumblr
2010
- June, 18th (Germany): Community Event in Square Enix's office in Hamburg. Playable demo of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
