Uzis
The Uzis (also Mini SMGs or Submachine Guns) can be found in every Tomb Raider from Tomb Raider I to Chronicles, returning in Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld.
Each shot is only slightly stronger than the Pistols, but it shoots much faster. From Tomb Raider III onwards ammo tends to be rare, greatly decreasing its usefulness. In Tomb Raider I and II however it is arguably the most potent all-round weapon.

Silver Mini SMGs
- Main article: Tomb_Raider_Anniversary_Cheats#Silver_Mini_SMGs
In Tomb Raider Anniversary, there's an unlockable cheat, which enables Lara to use the Silver Mini SMGs, which feature unlimited ammunition.
Tomb Raider Underworld
In Tomb Raider Underworld the Submachine Guns are available throughout the entire game via the weapons selection menu. They're carried on Lara's backpack.
The Osiris Codex
Description
This is a more powerful gun than the standard pistols that Lara always carries. They do twice as much damage as the pistols but have a limited amount of ammunition. More ammunition can be picked up during the game. When you pick up the Uzi it automatically replaces the pistols until the ammunition runs out. [3]

Further Information
Usiz traditionally use 9x19mm ammo, same as the HK MP5, but since the ones from TR1 to TR5 are considerably weaker than the MP5, they obviously fire some kind of sub-caliber ammo similar to that of Lara's pistols (.22 short or .25 acp). Uzi ammo is plentiful in TR1 and TR2. Round for round, they inflict the same damage as the pistols, but since their rate of fire is about five times faster, they are more effective than the Magnums or Automatic Pistols.
Some critics have noticed that the Uzis look more like Ingram Mac 10s, which may be a poor rendering of a sub-caliber converted version of the Micro-Uzi. In the Tomb Raider 4 weapons menu, however, the weapon pictured is clearly some kind of Micro-Uzi. Though there's only one pictured, Lara always has two. Like the pistols, Lara does not have to reload them, and when both are trained on a target, they can kill it almost as quickly as the shotgun or Desert Eagle.
