GPS in Rise of the Tomb Raider
The GPS Device enables Lara to map her location and find out where she is. Considering she was able use a map, find GPS Caches and mark where finds were during her adventure on Yamatai, it is likely she had one of these devices with her, although it was never shown.
At the beginning of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara uses a yellow-black GPS to find a location near the Northwest Border of Syria, at LAT 36.73, LON 37.01.
