The Ancient Seven Wonders of the World were monuments that were built many thousands of years ago in Greece, Egypt and the Middle East. Most of them have now collapsed and some have only recently come to light through archeological excavations; the only one left intact is the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza in Egypt. The others were;

  • The Lighthouse of Alexandria, Egypt, also known as the Tower of Pharos
  • The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, in modern Iraq
  • The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, in Turkey
  • The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, also in Turkey
  • The Colussus of Rhodes, a Greek Island
  • The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, on the Greek mainland

To date, Lara has only visited two of the Ancient Wonders of the World in the game series - in The Last Revelation, she visited both the Great Pyramid and the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria in the level Pharos, Temple of Isis. She has also visited the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in the story 'Perilous Paradise' by fanfiction writer Katie Fleming.
