The Torch is a helpful tool found for the first time in The Last Revelation. It makes its return in Tomb Raider Chronicles and also appears in many Custom Levels.
When found the torch is unlit. Lara has to find spot where she can lit it. This might be a simple camp fire, a lit wall torch, a burning barrel or similar.
A burning torch can then be used to lit other things like ropes or candles, to burn through a wooden floor or to scare the Little Demons away.
