Lara will encounter these Floor Blades (Object Name) in The Last Revelation e.g. in the level Guardian of Semerkhet.
These traps are hidden until Lara steps onto a title where one of them is hidden. They shoot out hurting Lara a bit. She now had to quickly jump out of the way, before they slash up, killing her, or at least hurting her badly.
A similar trap are the Plinth Blades.
