A Cinematic (also Cutscene) is a short video integrated into the game telling parts of the story of the game.
In the past cinematics consisted mainly of pre-rendered scenes. Recently cinematics use in-game graphics.
The Interactive Cutscenes found in the games since Tomb Raider Legend are a special version.
