Bernard is a character in The Angel of Darkness.
He was a janitor in Le Serpent Rouge, the Parisian nightclub owned by Bouchard.
Since the club was closed he spends most of his time in the Park. He is one of the few people who knows where Bouchard is hiding. If you talk to him before you talk to Pierre (AoD) he will ask you to retrieve something from Le Serpent Rouge in exchange for the password to get past Bouchard's Doorman. And this something is the Trinket Box, which Lara will be able to retrieve once Bernard gives her the Ex-janitor's key.
Bernard is a real pest so watch what you say. His trademark comment is "Leave me alone. I'm busy."
