Zip's Tech Centre, which resembles Bryce's Tech Centre introduced in the movies, was first shown in a cutscene in Tomb Raider Legend, after Lara returned from Bolivia. It is the working space of her tech assistant Zip. It is adjacent to the Main Hall and as Zip and Alister Fletcher, Lara's research assistant, learn later - in Tomb Raider Underworld - the Croft Family Crypt.
The Tech Centre can be explored as part of the Croft Manor special level. On the right side of the tech centre Lara can findl find a computer terminal on the floor. Using it will open a safe at the back wall, holding the Magnetic Grapple.
