The '''Explosive Barrels''' (also '''Exploding Barrels''', '''Fuel Barrels''', '''Fuel Tanks''' or '''Propane Tanks''') are a special kind of [[obstacle]] in the [[Tomb Raider Games]]. They pose no threat in their normal state, however if hit by gunfire, they can turn into a deadly [[trap]] for anything standing nearby. They can destroy [[Destructible Structures|weak structures]] and they can kill Lara or most kinds of [[enemies]].

In [[Tomb Raider (2013)]] these barrels occur throughout the game. They can often be used to dispose of enemies quickly or to destroy structures.

: The first occurrence of such a barrel is at the end of a [[Flammable Cloth]] which can serve as a fuse. Another set of fuel filled barrels, in the company of two [[Naval Mines]], is in a large chamber flooded by the tide coming in, where they can be made to detonate by sending [[Flammable Flotsam|burning flotsam]] their way.
